Mortgage on probationary period

I've just got everything in order for a £100k mortgage. 15% deposit, just been promoted to a salary just shy of £30k in org I've worked in for 6 yrs. now the obstacle, our HR dept puts everyone on 6 mth probation regardless of what level they are or their years service. I've just learned that the lender has put asked employer for ref n they have mentioned prob' :'( I know they have to be honest but I'm now terrified this has scuppered everything. My own line manager has said I'm doing a fantastic job as have other heads of departments.

Ill find out tomorrow.

Anyone any advice? If the worst happens and they decline my application, can it be salvaged or appealed?
