I've just viewed my credit report and noticed that my Sainsbury's credit card treats cash withdrawals abroad as a cash advance. The reason I use the card is because there are no fees or commission for withdrawing cash when overseas, it gives a perfect exchange rate and I'm not charged interest on the withdrawal if it is paid off within 50 days or so.
I might be applying for a mortgage next year and was wondering if such cash advances reflect negatively on a potential application in terms of my credit history. Obviously the credit report doesn't mention that these are foreign withdrawals and that they're not done out of financial desperation...
Thanks for your help.
