Myself and my partner have reserved a plot on a new build, with estimated completion date as June. Due to rental and financial commitments we have informed the developer that we are unable to complete until 28th June, to which we were told 'we will write this on your file'. How much influence do we actually have on the completion date? For example if we needed to move this back to the end of July. Is it advisable to get our solicitor to write this into our contracts?
