Myself and Husband are first time buyers and have found a house we would like. I have filled in the online comparison form on Moneysupermarket.com but it says no results based on my criteria.
I am employed earning 16.5k
Husband is self-employed and net profit going back 3 years is 26k, 23k, 22k. He has over 5 years of accounts with a chartered accountant.
We have no adverse credit. The only debt we have is a loan of £148 p/m
The house is £129,950. We have a 20% deposit.
We are looking for a fixed mortgage over 5 years.
I have then changed the self-employed section to employed, and got results.
Are we going to find it hard getting a mortgage because he is self employed?
