I have a 195000 repayment mortgage (3.69%) and a 75000 buy to let mortgage (3.5%). I have £5000 in savings I want to use to pay off a mortgage. Which mortgage should a pay this off against? Obviously the repayment mortgage is higher at 3.69%, but i get tax relief on the interest payments on the buy-to-let and not sure what level of borrowing i need to keep this mortgage at. Any advice?
