We submitted our mortgage application on the 20th April. The survey on theproperty was done on the 30th and we got the report back the next day which isgreat.
However, since then there has been no movement in our application and afterspeaking with our mortgage adviser last week, he said that the Halifax have notrequested any documentation yet. We've also checked our credit reports with Experianand there has been no further checks since the mortgage Quotation"searches that were carried out at the AIP and application stages.
Is this normal? I was under the impression that the application are processed via computer applications and the final checks are done manually?
I've got a feeling our application is in the "manualunderwriting" queue hence the delay?!
