Me and my partner have had an offer accepted on a property and we had a AIP with a provider without any problems. However as we submitted an application, the advisor emailed us to say that it was showing I had missed payments for 4 months back in 2011. This is a complicated problem with Orange as we moved house early and we transferred our broadband service to the house we were moving to and they already had Orange broadband so Orange said we could cancel the service without any charge. To my shock when doing a credit report back in Feb, it showed 4 missed monthly payments, I rang Orange up and they said they would correct this but the person has simply put the account as settled. The mortgage provider now wants something from Orange saying it was not missed monthly payments and have currently ceased the application until this is provided. Orange have said that I did not pay the monthly fee for the month when I cancelled the service however they did not ask me too at that stage.
I am incredibly stressed as I have had no credit problems and my house purchase wont go ahead until this is sorted. If it carries on, then it looks like I will not be able to get a mortgage:(
