Hi.
I'm new to this so I hope not to ramble too much.
After struggling with debt for quite a few years we took the drastic step of downsizing and selling our property and using the equity to clear our debts and buy a property outright. We had our previous mortgage with GE money and paid this without fail every month. We have now paid this mortgage in full (£75000)and bought a property outright in december for £192000 which needs renovation. Our problem is we have 2 satisfied ccj's from 2008 and 2009 , one paid early in 2011 and the other paid in 2012 and no other debt apart from a car loan. We have enough funds to carry out the extension ( which will increase the value to £250000) but we would like to borrow £25000 for remaining internal work so the LTV will be 13%- credit score is 949 . I would rather go with a high street if possible but dont want to wreck my credit score by going to different lenders and being searched too many times. Any suggestions would be appreciated . thankyou
