I want to apply for a mortgage but would like others opinions as to what to do?
Im 31, earn £44k a year, my parents are remortgaging to give me up to £40k in deposit, and my experian credit score is 901 out of 999.
The issue is that i was subject to an IVA (which i completed in Nov 2011). I have been in touch with a broker (who wasnt overly helpful if i am honest) who said that no-one would touch me until i had been clear of the IVA for at least two years (which i understand completely).
My question is are their lenders out there (ive heard of GE Bank) who would consider lending to me? Has anyone hear any knowledge of this company or any others? The properties in my area are approx £120-130k.
Any help/advice would be gratefully accepted,
