My 2 yr fixed mortgage is ending soon and i want to switch to a different fixed deal when it ends with the same mortgage company(nationwide) for the remaining amount. When I applied for my current mortgage I had no outstanding debts but due to circumstances in the past 2 years I now have a loan and a credit card balance. When i've looked online it says that to switch they do not do a credit check. Is this the case? I am worried that I may be refused the switch based on the loan/CC. I have never missed a payment on my mortgage or any of my other debts. What would happen if they refused to switch my deal? would I have trouble getting another mortgage? I have a 70%LTV currently and 2 years ago was my first mortgage.
