Me an my partner are looking to get our first mortgage. However 5 years ago when I was on my year abroad in uni I had a credit card default and the card was cancelled due to my sister forgetting to pay my bill. The amount £600 was paid in full when we realised. However I have been told that there is a black mark on my credit rating. I have requested an Experian report. What are my chances of getting a mortgage - we both have full time jobs - joint income of around £50k and a £20k deposit
