I am looking for a solicitor/conveyancer to do a transfer of equity and I have no idea what sort of price I should be expecting. So far I have received two very different quotes and I don't want to go with the cheaper on and get inferior work or the expensive and get mugged off. I have requested a few more but those firms are yet to come back to me.
Has anyone done this before or has conveyancing experience and can tell me what a reasonable charge for this would be? I am in South East London (Zone 5) if that would make a difference to the quotes, both firms are local to the area.
