I hope someone will know...
As I have been with my employer a trust within Nhs for less than two years I am able to cancel pension, receive back previous payments... Around £950 after deductions and then will have additional £100 in my wage each week, no pension.
Should I cancel pension? We really need to save for deposit, everything will help. I can always restart in a year after we have bought our house
HOWEVER?
Would the underwriters look on this negatively? No pension payments! I haven't got a clue as to what they would consider when assessing you for a mortgage. Is having a pension plan a positive thing on a mortgage application? Does it matter? Should I cancel and save?
Any help much appreciated
