My house is 'worth' over £80000 (2 bedroom Scandinavian pine, back n front door, gardens to front, side and back). I owe around £49000 and have about 14 years left to go (all approx as the details are up the loft just now and dont have the ladders to go get them).
I also owe £2500 on a credit card that i am just starting to pay off (in dispute with insurance company regarding it), have eventually just sent off my PPI claims, so hopefully i will get something back from them!
im now in my 3rd month of my new job, earn £15000/year although we do get bonuses each month anywhere from £30 - £200. £50 is set to straight into savings account, i start paying 3% into my pension from jan wages (work pay 5%, so thought id just go straight for the 3% as soon as and take advantage of the gov tax offer).
previous to that i worked for 18 months part time, completely scraping by due to travel and childcare costs, but at least still earning.
Im currently with NRAM and would love to get a better deal, the past 3 years i have been a student with very little money so when my 3 year fixed deal ended i wasn't in any position to consider moving.
My son is 5 years old. I get £160/month in child maintenance, son has special diet that costs on ave. £35/week, goes to one group at £5/week
In January, my boyfriend will be moving in, we haven't fully discussed how we are going to share the financial responsibility yet, but it will be around £300/400 per month, most of that will be going towards the gas/electricity/c.tax/food. c/tax will be £123per month for the 2 adults in house.
I have a car, bought via a loan (£2500) from my dad, i've to pay what i can when i can, im hoping to pay min of £150 per month, insurance is around £300 per year, currently i put £35 in the car around every 2 weeks
Anways, my question is, will i get a mortgage from someone else, based on the info i have given and the fact i am only now repaying the cc, if i get ppi payout i will clear that and continue to fight the insurance company...
also, if anyone can, (or do i need to ask elsewhere?) but who insures wooden homes, im with halifax but at £50 per month, its daylight robbery!!
