I’m new to remortgaging and have been looking to do straight forward re-mortgage on great interest rate/deals. I’ve recently completed my research for the best deals re-mortgage for LTV-75%.
I found that so far, Yorkshire Building society is the best option for me, as their rates were reasonably low on fixed rate and included a re-mortgage package (RP) (legal fee and valuation fee included). – 2.99% fixed until 31/03/15
However I recently found out their RP for legal service is with Optima Legal. I had goggled them and noticed their client feedbacks suggested they weren’t satisfied with them (due to delays etc). I still have approx 3months, before my current deal expires. However I concerned here, if the legal service (Optima legal) take too long to complete my remortgage and are not able to switch onto my new provider exactly after my current deal ends with my existing provider, then I would end-up paying my current provider on SVR.
Has anyone had any issue with a straight re-mortgage in general? or any issues with the same legal service - Optima Legal on a re-mortgage? Please share your experience/advise. Thanks
