Hi there
Just looking for a slight bit of advice.
I'm looking to buy with my partner sometime in the near future, and could probably raise a maximum 10% deposit !by the end of the year.
We don't earn a great deal between us, around 23/24k per annum combined. The property we would be looking at would be around 50 - 60k.
However, I have a default of my credit file, that will be 6 years old next year. The default was for £600 on a credit card, and is currently unsettled. Other than this default, neither have further adverse credit.
Would it be extremely difficult/unrealistic to obtain a mortgage in our position? And if so, what is the biggest obstacle we would have to overcome, my best guess would be the default?
Any advise would be very much appreciated
