The current 5yr mortgage comes up in a couple of months - then only another 18 years to go (:(). My remortgage options are 2yr, 5yr or 10yr - I dont really want to go variable or tracker as rates will inevitably rise. Currently sorely tempted to pay more for the peace of mind to fix for 10 years.
My thinking is that rates cant go down, so their only way is to continue to plateau or to rise (and rise and rise as/if we come out of recession). I know its my choice, but anyone have any ideas (or know any articles etc) on if/when interests will rise, and by how much?
